Free People Velvet Cecile Fall Booties
Who doesn’t like talking about fall booties? They are stylish and they go with so many different outfits – pants, jeans, skirts, and dresses. There are so many booties that have been on my wishlist these season. As soon as I saw these Free People Velvet Cecile booties, I knew I had to have them! The pink color is so different from your typical bootie, yet it is still a classic color at the same time. These booties are so comfortable, and at $168 (and often on sale), these are a must-have pair of booties for the fall season (if you like pink that is). If pink isn’t quite your style, they also come in black, grey, and a wine color. These booties are perfect for someone with narrow ankles too as they do fit snugly around the ankle.
I will admit, I originally photographed these fall booties wearing jeans. These booties are rather long, and my legs are so petite though that I had to roll up my jeans and that made my legs look so short I nixed the photos. These fall booties are perfect though for my short height with a skirt. That way the spotlight is on the booties, and my legs are naturally accentuated with clean sight lines. I could see wearing these with a pleated midi skirt, or even a pink floral dress.
As for the rest of my outfit, this cozy cream mock-neck sweater caught my eye right away. It is so comfortable, and cream is such a classic color. Unfortunately, as it often goes with Nordstrom, this sweater sold out within a week. I can see why though! I have linked to several other similar cream sweaters (here, here, and here) that have a similar aesthetic.
I’ve had this Topshop denim mini skirt since the summer (previously worn here). A denim mini skirt is one of those closet staple pieces that is great for almost all the seasons. This one does run small. I normally wear a 2, but for this skirt I recommend going up two sizes.
Overall this is just a cute, casual look for the fall. The pastel colors help to make this outfit look very feminine and soft. This outfit will certainly be on repeat for me this season too!

Four other Must Have Fall Booties
Fall booties come in a variety of colors, textures, and heel heights. In the end, you need to pick the one that fits you and your style. Personally, I have been loving suede booties this season, as they are dressier and can go with both casual and dressier outfits. Of course if you are going to be wearing suede fall booties this season don’t forget the suede protectant – this one is my favorite). Block heel fall booties are always my favorite, as they serve to lengthen my petite legs and most of all they are comfortable! Neutral colors such as black and brown will never go out of style. But if you already own neutral fall booties, add something fun such as a colored or patterned booties. As for colored booties these Larissa velvet stretch booties are my absolute favorite (see where I wore them here). And they are on sale now at 50% off the retail price. I’ve never found a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes and boots I didn’t like and these Vigor booties are no exception (see where I wore them here). The quality and comfort is that good, that I do believe they are worth the price. The Vince Camuto Franell bootie is another fall favorite. This classic bootie is perfect for petites, as it is a shorter bootie that is perfect with skinny jeans. Finally I own and love these Marc Fischer Grazi bootie. The star pattern is my favorite, and expect to see them soon in an upcoming post!
As always, thanks for looking!
