For Love and Lemons Sweet Disposition Swing Dress

I hope you had a great weekend! For us it was the usual catching up on grocery shopping, laundry, and house cleaning. We did get to have a cookout with the grandparents and the in-laws. Our SIL just built a new house, and they finished their patio. It was so nice to hang out on the hammock and eat hamburgers and watermelon! The kids had a great time playing with their cousins. I think my son (who is 6) discovered his love of tennis too. My husband, who normally works a lot on the weekends happened to be off, which was a bonus!

With everyone taking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it is easy to get excited about fall. While I love fall weather, I absolutely dread the winter season that comes right after fall. So I try to soak up every bit of summer that I can, because it just doesn’t last long in the Midwest. I know I have been posting an awful lot about dresses, but really that’s because wearing dresses makes me so happy!

In today’s post I am wearing the For Love and Lemons Sweet Disposition swing dress. I love the soft floral pattern of this dress! The plunging neckline and the tie detail at the sleeves make this dress oh so feminine. It is definitely petite-friendly as it is designed to show off your legs. I am wearing my Steve Madden Gerard sandals with the dress. As in my last post, I am using my Chloe Nile bag I picked up in New York City.

People always ask me how I can wear a dress with such a low neckline. The secret is dress tape! Without dress tape this dress would be too revealing at just the wrong time. This bra (that I am also wearing) also works perfectly with a plunging neckline

For Love and Lemons is a relatively new brand (founded in 2011) but they have quickly become known for their stylish pieces designed to reflect “confidence, femininity, and individuality”. I definitely see those qualities in this dress. Some other favorites of mine from the brand include this lovely romperthis lovely romper, the print reminds me of Provence, France (the same pattern can be found in this maxi dress). This Pink Star tank dress is the perfect way to look stylish on a hot summer day. Finally, I love the fun, whimsical, lemony print (and the more conservative neckline) of this Limonada Mini Dress.
