I can’t believe that March is already here and spring is less than two weeks away! Right now though we are still very much in the midst of winter – there is snow on the ground an a definite chill in the air. It is this time of year that I try to wear pieces with a bit more color and pattern, yet they have to still keep me warm. And plaid is a great classic statement pattern for doing this. Plaid is such a great pattern that is great for winter, but really works all year round. So today’s post is all about showing you plaid pieces that will work for any time of the year!

Aqua Plaid Tweed Dress
The Bloomingdale’s Aqua line is one of my favorite clothing lines to shop. The pieces are always stylish and definitely petite-friendly. And the prices are always very reasonable. I found this adorable tweed plaid dress from the Aqua line, and I knew it would be perfect for a day at the office. I really like the red, black, and white plaid pattern. And the fringe detail at the hem adds a really nice touch. This dress does run a bit small, so I would recommend sizing up from your typical sizing.
To give this look more contrast I am wearing my favorite Club Monaco white wool coat. This is an older coat (no longer made, unfortunately) but this one from Express is very similar. To stay warm, I am wearing my favorite Hue opaque tights. And to give this outfit even more chic style I am wearing this wool beret (under $10 too!).

More Plaid Dresses to Love
As I said, plaid is such a classic pattern that really can be worn year round. With spring just around the corner this Aqua floral plaid dress would be perfect! I also love this Chelsea 28 blue/white ruffle wrap plaid dress. This is the kind of dress that would be perfect for the office or a sophisticated lunch date. And this light blue plaid dress by Milly has such a distinctive style.
It’s a Plaid Plaid World
Plaid has been a classic pattern for years. Perhaps it is because of iconic brands such as Burberry that has made plaid such a staple in our wardrobes. Currently though, it isn’t just plaid shirts and scarves that are popular. You can find plaid in purses, hats, pants, and even shoes. And the nice thing about these plaid pieces, is that you can wear them year after year and they will still be in style. At one point they will even become vintage, which means your friends will envy the pieces you have!

I hope this post has more than fulfilled all of your plaid dreams! As always, thanks for stopping by!
