Resort Wear 2019
It was around this time last year that I travelled to Turks and Caicos and Hollywood Beach, Florida. Both trips were a welcome reprieve from winter. This year we didn’t get a chance to go somewhere warm (though we will be traveling south soon!) so I decided to pretend like I was in a warm place. A girl is allowed to pretend, isn’t she? Luckily we have the Matthei Botanical Gardens just a few miles from where I live, so at the very least I have the chance to dress the part in the right setting when I want to!
Réalisation Par Valencia Dress
I first discovered this Australian brand on Instagram. As soon as I saw their gorgeous dresses, the dainty patterns and soft ruffled designs caught my eye! Here I am wearing the Vaencia Dress in a whimsical floral pattern. This wrap dress is definitely petite-friendly, and it is perfect for a tropical vacation, a lunch date or a hot summer day. Sizing is TTS, and I am wearing an XS here. I like that this dress actually stays put, unlike many wrap dresses I have owned in the past. You can buy this dress directly from Réalisation, but I decided to buy it on eBay as I could save some money, with faster shipping on a brand new dress. This dress arrived promptly, and was definitely NWT as advertised. It even came with a dust bag, a pretty fan, and a pack of playing cards!
Réalisation has so many pretty dresses, it is hard to choose a favorite. I love the Réalisation Valencia dress just as much in this pretty purple floral design. This long and strappy Amelia dress would be perfect for the beach. Style it with a denim jacket for date night. And this leopard Naomi skirt could be styled for colder weather with a sweater, and warmer weather with a tank top.
My hat is an older Lack of Color hat I have had. I made the ribbon myself with some grosgrain ribbon an velcro tabs. This is so easy to do and a great way to coordinate your hat with your outfit!
