Ann Taylor Summer Favorites and 50% Off Sale
I hope you are having a great week! We’ve had some perfect summer weather lately, and I am definitely taking advantage of it. Now that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally over, I’ve had the chance to post about some of my other favorite brands. One of my favorite retailers, Ann Taylor, is having their Semi Annual sale. With the change of seasons about to take place now is the time to take advantage of the summer clearance sales, and Ann Taylor has some really nice pieces. I normally shop at Ann Taylor for work outfits, but they have lots of great casual pieces as well. And right now all sale pieces are 50% off (no code needed). And now that Ann Taylor offers ShopRunner shipping, there is no minimum purchase requirement for free two day shipping. It is very easy to get Shoprunner shipping for free (as long as you have an American Express, MasterCard or Paypal account). I had the chance to host a local blogger event with Ann Taylor in Troy, Michigan, and was able tp pick up a few of my favorite summer pieces, and I thought I would show them to you today!
Ann Taylor Plaid Wrap Dress
This classic plaid wrap dress stood out to me as soon as I saw it in the store! If you follow my blog at all, you know I love the color blue. And this dress has some bright, bold blue colors in it, which makes it distinctive. This is one of those dresses that is perfect for the office, but could be dressed down casually as well. The fit is great and I can tell you this dress is so comfortable! I am wearing the regular version in a size 2 (vs petite) and it falls just below my knees.
This dress is lightweight so it is perfect for summer. With all the extreme heat we have been having I decided to wear it just as-is. But on a cooler day you could style it with a cardigan or blazer (such as this one). Or for an extra element of style wear it with a black belt (such as this one).

Ann Taylor Cotton Crop Pant in Chambray
The next outfit features my favorite summer pants from Ann Taylor. These crop pants in chambray are so versatile and easy to wear. With a color similar to a light denim, you could really wear them with just about anything. They are made of a comfortable cotton material that works well with the hot weather. Here I am wearing my typical 2P, but honestly I could have sized down to a zero as they do have a bit of stretch. And with the sale they are under $30, which is a fantastic price!
Even though you could style these pants with anything, I decided to pair them with this simple ivory boatneck top for the summertime. But what really elevates this outfit is the addition of a silk scarf around my neck. The one I am wearing sold out, but this and this one are so similar. I received so many compliments the day I wore this outfit to work!

Ann Taylor Tie Waist Marina Shorts
As I mentioned, Ann Taylor has lots of great casual pieces for the summer too! I love, love, love these classic tie waist shorts. Even though they are shorts, they do look somewhat dressy, which works for a nice lunch or dinner situation. The fit is comfortable, and they are well constructed out of a thicker cotton/elastane blend. And I love the big pockets! Here I am wearing the winter white color, but they also come in black, beige, red and navy. And during the sale you can get them for under $25!
You could wear these shorts with just about anything. I love the combination of black and white, and this striped square neck top looks great with them. But they also would look great with this navy t-shirt or this blue floral top.
I wanted to give special mention to these Steve Madden sandals I am wearing here. They are very similar to the popular Greece sandal, but with a bit of a stacked heel. I think that makes these a little more dressy, yet they are still so comfortable! Today I walked two miles in them with zero pain or blisters. I love them so much that I bought them in black and white! They also come in brown as well.
