Embracing the Last Days of Summer…

J.O.A Floral Lace off the Shoulder Dress

There is a chill in the air as I write this post. Living in Michigan, summers don’t seem to last long, it seems. Here it doesn’t really start to get warm until mid-May and then it starts to cool off by mid-September. So during the warmer months I enjoy every chance I get to wear pretty summer dresses and tops, and not worry about being cold. And this is why you see me posting about summer dresses all the time! When it comes to dresses, I never met a floral print I didn’t like. So when I saw this J.O.A. floral lace off the shoulder dress, it was basically love at first sight. I have posted about J.O.A. dresses many times before (see here, here, and here). This brand is one of my favorites for several reasons. Most of all, I love their stylish, classic, feminine designs. Their dresses are very petite-friendly and pretty much always fit me straight off the rack. Finally their clothing is very affordable (almost everything is in the $70-$100 range.

The floral lace off the shoulder dress I am wearing here is such a pretty design. The blue floral print is perfect for spring and summer. The feminine ruffle detail on the sleeves and hem really add to the detail of this dress. The tie belt around the waist (I tied it in the back) just adds to the charm of this dress.

Since this is a summer look, I wore an old Janessa Leone hat I had.  This hat is sold out at the moment but this and this hat are very similar. My sandals tie in with the colors of the hat. Overall, this is just a fun and feminine summer look.

I wish there were more summer days to be able to wear dresses! If I had my way I think I would wear one every day. This flower print cold shoulder dress also by J.O.A would look adorable with red heels and a red pair of ball drop earrings. This red gingham off the shoulder dress is just darling. Finally this pretty pink floral embroidered dress would be perfect for a dressier summer event.
