Express Marled Extreme Circle Hem Tunic

Last week it seemed like the rain was never going to stop. I thought that almost certainly I would have to forget about doing any photoshoots. Finally though the rain relented and amongst running weekend errands we were able to squeeze in a quick shoot. I run by this spot on my weekend runs, and always thought it was the prettiest spot on my run. So it was the perfect place for the day’s session.

For this weekend casual look I am wearing the Express Marled Circle Hem Tunic. Express is a store I used to shop at all the time in college but as I became older I shopped there less and less as I needed more professional clothing. A good friend of mine told me she shops there and so I decided to revisit the store. I found this tunic in one of my favorite deep maroon red colors and thought it was simple, yet at the same time stylish and comfortable. I decided to wear this with my 7 for All Mankind Karah Bootcut Jeans. Bootcut or flared jeans are one of my favorite styles for jeans, mainly because I think they make my legs look longer (and I need all the help I can get when it comes to my legs). So I am glad to see that flared jeans haven’t quite gone out of style. I am wearing a size 28 (though I probably should have gotten a 26) in a 29 inch inseam. This is 7 for All Mankind’s short inseam denim jeans and they required no alterations (though I am wearing them with a 3″ block heel). To complete the look I wore my Sole Society Farris open toe booties and my Baublebar Ballet Y-Chain Necklace. Overall it is a nice weekend casual look that is perfect for running errands or a casual restaurant meal.
