Fall Inspiration from Marks and Spencer

Just like that, fall is here. It was only yesterday that summer was here, and now the trees are already changing colors and the air feels crisp and cool in the morning. So yesterday I was posting about the last day of summer, and now I am posting about the first day of fall. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! The leaves are beautiful, honeycrisp apples are available, and of course you have pumpkin spice everything! If you are like me, you’ve been planning for all the fall events (holidays, game days and pumpkin/apple picking), which also means new fall outfits! One of my favorite brands to shop for fall looks is Marks and Spencer. If you’ve never heard of Marks and Spencer, I highly recommend you check out the brand. Marks and Spencer London is a British brand that sells a wide variety of apparel and home items, for women, men, and children. They are an expanding international business with over 450 stores and websites in 59 countries. I first posted about Marks and Spencer here, when I wore their lovely navy trench. I have been so impressed with both the quality and the variety of styles that Marks and Spencer offers.

While summer is the time for dresses, shorts, and bathing suits, fall style is all about layering. Here I am wearing the Marks and Spencer Stormwear belted trench coat. Classic styling is definitely what appeals to me, and this gorgeous trench is no exception.  This petite-friendly trench is made to be both water-resistant and crease resistant (qualities I have not found in many other trenches that I own). This trench is perfect for keeping the chill away on a cool fall morning. It can also keep you dry on a dreary, rainy day.

While a trench on it’s own is timeless, and classic, you can take it to a whole new level with accessories. Here I am wearing the Elevated Check Scarf. I just love the colors and the fringe detail on this scarf! Definitely classic British Style. This scarf is lightweight enough that it can be worn on a relatively warmer fall day. It wold also look great with a wool winter jacket as well.

I love these Marks and Spencer drop-hem mid rise straight leg jeans! As soon as I put them on, I told my husband that these are some of my favorite jeans.These jeans are definitely petite-friendly!  I was a little leary buying jeans where the inseam isn’t listed, but since they are cropped, I knew they would run a little short. Luckily these jeans fit perfectly without any hemming! These jeans are mid-rise, which I really like as well. I am wearing a size 8R for your reference.

The sweater I am wearing, the lace tassel round neck jumper is just so pretty! It is soft and comfortable, and I just love the lace tassel detail!

Fall Inspiration Work Style with Marks and Spencer

One of my favorite fall trends is leopard print. Leopard print is the new “neutral” and you see it everywhere, from tops, to skirts, shoes, and bags. Leopard print is such an easy way to incorporate a pattern into your look. This leopard skirt by Marks and Spencer is so darling, and is just perfect for work! Transition it for the evening with a cozy sweater and nice pair of boots.

A good simple white blouse is a workwear essential. This classy blouse is so chic with the contrasting piped edge. Style it with a skirt as I have done, or wear it with a nice pair of slacks and a jacket. This blouse also comes in red and is well-priced at $41.

One thing that has impressed me most about Marks and Spencer, is their focus on customer service. Ordering from their website couldn’t be easier, and shipping is so fast! I ordered my outfits on a Wednesday evening, and they were at my doorstep by Friday. Faster than Amazon Prime and all the way from England! Returns from the US are easy as they have a return center here in the US that will ship your items back to the UK if necessary.
