Winter is still here but I tell myself that February is a short month and March is right around the corner. So even though we have two feet of snow outside and it is only 25 degrees, I am definitely thinking about spring! Spring in the Midwest tends to run on the cooler side, which means lightweight spring jackets are a necessity! So today I am rounding up a few of my favorite spring jackets that have caught my eye this season.
The Club Monaco Ellayne trench I think is my favorite lightweight spring jacket. This is the kind of jacket that you can wear with a dress or skirt to work, or you can dress it down with a pair of jeans and sneakers. The Ellayne trench is lightly lined, which makes it more suitable for a cooler spring day. The dove grey I am wearing here is on sale, but is only available in the larger sizes. It also comes in pink (which I love), green, and navy.
The tie sleeves are my favorite detail about the Ellayne trench! The pretty and feminine sleeves give effortless style for an otherwise basic drape trench coat. This trench is very well-made and it is one of those pieces that I know I will wear for years!
I am wearing this lightweight spring jacket with a sweater dress (given we took these pictures in January). I have been somewhat obsessed with the grey/white palette lately, as it is so soft, fresh, and clean. In the spring I would wear it with a t-shirt, cropped skinny jeans and loafers for an easy weekend look. 
Jewelry is always the finishing touch for any outfit. I recently discovered the Shashi brand of classical jewelry with a whimsical twist. These Evelyn earrings are simple in design, yet the drop style certainly stands out with any outfit. The Kendra Scott Phara necklace complements the earrings.
More Lightweight Spring Jackets
Below you will find more of my favorite lightweight spring jackets. I change the jacket I am wearing depending on my outfit, so I like to have a mix of solid and patterned jackets. You cannot go wrong with a cream/ivory trench, and this one from Loft is a great option this season. A polka dot jacket is always fun to wear, and I adore this one from Talbots! Pink jackets are always nice to wear in the spring. This one by Ralph Lauren is a nice casual option. This blush pink wrap trench can be worn for both work and the weekend. Gingham is back in style this season, and I just love this one by Modcloth and this gingham coat by Boden! And if you want to add color to your spring wardrobe this yellow jacket by Barbour is a great option (see how I styled it here).
Almost the coats I am featuring here are priced under $200, and are great investment pieces for the spring.
