Maggy London and the Today Show Steals and Deals

If you were watching the Today Show earlier this morning, you might have seen this Maggy London Philomena dress featured during the Steals and Deals segment. As a working professional, I am always looking for affordable but stylish clothing for work. If you follow my blog, you will have noticed that Maggy London dresses are one of my favorite brands for work (see my posts here and herehere). Maggy London dresses are stylish, petite-friendly, well-made and are an affordable price. And Maggy London is always coming out with new styles every day it seems.

I have to say that this Philomena dress is one of my favorite dresses from Maggy London! This wrap dress was exclusively designed for the Today Show. I am lucky enough to have access to one of the first dresses for review. In the past, I have often shied away from wrap dresses. Wrap dresses never seemed to stay closed when I need them to. They also tend to be less flattering around my abdomen. The Philomena dress is the first wrap dress I have worn that has neither of these issues! The way this wrap dress is made the top is secure enough to never have wardrobe malfunction issues. The ruffled detail at the waist makes any woman look flattering in this dress as well. I also love the chic geometric design of this dress. The notched collar creates a sophisticated element of design.

The Philomena dress is definitely a petite-friendly dress. This dress falls just below the knees on my frame. The sleeves are slightly short as well. This dress is made of a stretchy polyester/spandex material and requires no ironing. It is also very comfortable.

I kept this outfit simple and classic with a simple pair of black heels and a black bag (my kids call this my “doctor” bag). Overall this is a classic, professional look for work.

Budget Friendly Work Dresses from Maggy London

The Philomena dress was not the only dress featured on the Today Show. The Martine dress is very similar in style but comes in a bright blue geometric pattern. The Caralyn dress is a simple but sophisticated red dress with a beautiful ruffle detail. And finally I love the classic elegance of the black bell-sleeve Kaye dress. All of these dresses were created exclusively for the Today Show. Normally priced at $148 these dresses are a steal at $49.99! Each of these dresses would be great for work and will be in style for years.
