Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. The weekend was fairly low key for us as it is mid-winter break for the kids (which meant fewer activities). I had to do a consult in the hospital yesterday and then we headed out for sushi after I was done. Of course while in the middle of dinner a huge snowstorm came. I swear three inches fell within a matter of 30 minutes. So it was slow-going getting home with low visibility. Thankfully we made it home all in one piece, without ending up in a ditch. And so it goes here in Michigan!

And on to the outfit – I’m mixing it up today by wearing a combination of camel and gray. Honestly I had never thought about wearing this color combination together, even though I have so many pieces in my closet that are these colors. But then again, silver and gold look great together, so why wouldn’t camel and gray? These two neutral colors play together so well!

Ann Taylor Button Cuff Tunic

I picked up this camel tunic during the last Ann Taylor sale. During the winter months I am always looking for cozy sweaters to stay warm. I like this sweater because it works well both for the office and for a casual look. The color is a lovely rich camel, and I love how the button collar adds an extra element of detail. This sweater is not too clingy, nor too baggy, giving it an overall polished and classy look. And it is definitely warm enough to ward off the chill! I am wearing my typical XS and this sweater fits well. And as part of Ann Taylor’s President’s day sale it is still on sale at 40% off (with code SOSWEET).

AG Legging Ankle Jeans in Shadow Fog

I had never thought of owning a pair of grey jeans, that is until I saw these AG Legging Ankle jeans in the prettiest grey color. These petite-friendly jeans are true to size, and I am wearing my typical size 26. They fit well (never mind the lens cap in my pocket) and would look great with so many tops! They are a bit pricey, but totally worth it in my opinion, as the fit and quality are a cut above almost anything less expensive.

More Camel and Grey Inspiration

Ann Taylor really has been emphasizing camel in their winter collection. Given everything is 40% off right now (with 50% off all sale items), I thought I’d show you a few more of my camel and grey favorites. This fair isle turtleneck sweater would also look great with grey jeans or trousers. Elevate your every day look with this camel cardigan with ivory contrast tipping. And instead of a camel top and grey pants, wear this grey cashmere belted tunic with these beige ankle pants for a classy yet stylish, office-friendly outfit.

And finally just to mix things up even more, I am wearing these leopard pumps from Ann Taylor.  They add just the right amount of visual interest to my solid color top and pants. I love these pumps as they are so comfortable and I get so many complements when I wear them!

I hope you survive the week, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
