Petite Friendly Maxi Dresses

Maxi Dresses are such fun to wear in the spring and summer. There are so many pretty prints available and they can make a woman feel so feminine and stylish! But when you are short like me (5’2″) finding maxi dresses that I don’t trip over or require alterations can be very frustrating. There are definitely options available, you just have to look for them. In today’s post I am wearing this lovely mint green floral Privacy Please Fillmore Dress. The high-low cut of the dress is more suited for a petite frame. The dress actually fits quite well when worn with a tall pair of wedges. I love the soft green color, and the ruffled edges add an extra detail that makes this dress special. The XS fits fairly well without any alterations. In general, when looking for a petite friendly maxi dress I look at the shoulder seam to hem measurement. The standard length for a maxi dress is 60″. There are a few that come in a 52″ to 56″ length and this length that  is perfect for petites. Additionally, there are many brands that actually make petite size maxi dresses. Eliza J from Nordstrom has several petite friendly maxi dresses. I adore this pretty blue cold shoulder maxi dress! This flowing floral chiffon maxi is so classically beautiful.
