Sephora 2018 VIB Sale

The Sephora VIB sale is here and is open to everyone! For those of you unfamiliar about the sale, this is the annual sale Sephora holds where everything is on sale! This is true if you are a Beauty Insider (which is really easy to become) .The sale actually began August 24th but that was for the VIB Rouge members (people that spend $1k per year). If you are that dedicated Sephora shopper then you get 20% off your order with code YESROUGE. For everyone else the sale began August 30. If you have VIB status (people that spend $350/year) you can get 15% off your order with code YESVIB. For everyone else you can get 10% off your order with code YESINSIDER. So if you aren’t one yet, at the very least you can become a Beauty Insider and get started earning points to future discounts and gifts. My Sephora VIB Sale Picks

I will tell you, when this sale happens I take advantage of the time to stock up on my most frequently used items, and I try a few new things too. The sale is a great time to splurge on big ticket items such as the T3 Whirl Trio Styling Wand, NuFace Facial Toning Kit, and even the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer (I splurged on this two years ago).  I love trying out new eyeshadows and lipsticks during the sale as well!

NuFace Trinity Facial Toning Kit

I have to say I have been intrigued by the NuFace Trinity Facial Toning Kit. Several friends of mine have recommended it to improve skin tone and to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I am definitely not getting any younger, so I was excited to finally get to try it! 

Using the device is simple and easy. Each treatment should last five to 20 minutes. In the beginning you should use the device 5 days a week. After 90 days you can use it 2-3 times/week for maintenance. The device features a smart skin sensor and interchangeable attachments to enable a variety of spa-quality therapies. I will say after using it once, I did notice an improvement in my overall skin tone. The device does tingle when you use it, so I do recommend starting at a lower intensity when using it for the first time. 

T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Stylig Wand

I love, love, love my T3 Curling Wand! This is hands down the best curling wand/iron I have ever used. The device heats up fast, is easy to control, and the curls last all day, even in the most humid weather. Whirl Trio includes three barrels (one-inch Straight Barrel, The kit features a 1.25-inch to .75-inch Tapered Barrel, 1.5-inch Straight Barrel) to create an variety of looks for any hair length. The styling wand features Digital T3 SinglePass® technology, which maintains even heat across the barrel the entire time you style. Makeup Favorites from the VIB Sale

Besides big ticket items, I love shopping for the best makeup finds too during the sale. I love the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Highlighter. I use it on top of my blush on my cheekbones to give my face that extra radiant glow. The soft rose color looks great with any skin type, but I especially like how it looks on my fair skin. 

The Kat Von D Ink Eyeliner is one of my favorite eyeliners! This  ultra-rich, waterproof eyeliner is easy to apply too. The liner is long lasting, and is an easy way to add bold definition to your eyes.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette 

I love getting a new eyeshadow palette each year during the Sephora VIB Sale. The Anastasia Soft Glam eyeshadow palette is truly gorgeous and is my favorite purchase from the sale! This palette is perfect for that everyday simple look. It also has some shimmery colors that are great for that  slammed up look. This palette is versatile as it contains both  warmer and cooler tones as well. The colors are easily blendable and the shades are quite pigmented too. 

Sephora #Lipstories Lipstick

Sephora has outdone itself with it’s #Lipstories Lipsticks. I bought this lipstick after a friend recommended it, and I have to say I am hooked! At $8 a stick, it is easy to stock up on multiple colors. The lipsticks are nicely pigmented an moisturizing. And surprisingly the colors will last for hours, even after eating! The quality rivals that of any higher-priced lipstick that I have tried. For the sale I bought the color Matinée (with a cream finish), but I also have Oui!, Spring Break, and After Hours. 

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder

I finally took the plunge and bought the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder that people rave about. I am so glad I did it too! This powder is slightly more dense than your typical powder. This is great for locking in makeup for long-lasting wear, without adding weight or texture. The translucent shade is great for lighter skin tones. This powder goes on silky smooth, which makes it great for blurring the look of fine lines and imperfections. I apply this powder under my eyes and over concealer using a powder brush. I used to get shiny halfway through the da. However, when I combine this product with setting spray, I stay matte until it’s time to take it off in the evening. 

Urban Decay Setting Spray and Living Proof Dry Shampoo

As I said before, the Sephora VIB Sale is the perfect time to stock up on regularly used items. I always make sure to buy my favorite Living Proof Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo. This is hands down the best dry shampoo I have tried. This dry shampoo leave virtually no visible residue or powdery buildup behind, and features a time-released clean and light scent that you can notice throughout the day.

If you’ve never tried a setting spray, you really should. I have tried several but the Urban Decay All-Nighter long-lasting setting spray is simply the best. This product truly works, and your makeup will stay perfect for the next 12 hours! It is so nice to not have to retouch your powder after working all day. It even works in the most ridiculously humid summer day!
