How to Incorporate Florals into Your Outfit

Spring has to be my favorite time of year. My name is April so maybe that is part of the reason why. After a dreary and cold winter, all of a sudden there is an explosion of color everywhere you look! I can tell you six years ago I moved to the desert (Las Vegas) and I was literally depressed for a year because there were no fields of flowers anywhere (of course the desert is beautiful in it’s own special way). I was more than happy to move back to the Midwest where the landscape was more familiar to me. Flower just make me so happy! Thankfully the town where I live has no shortage of spring flowers on every street corner it seems.

There are so many options to incorporate florals into your outfit. Floral dresses, floral tops, and even floral pants are in style right now. So what if you don’t want to go all out floral? There are lots of subtle ways to do so. In today’s outfit I am wearing this super cute ASOS A-line mini skirt with scallop hem, along with a flattering ruffled hem top from Ann Taylor (on sale for 40% off currently). This skirt is adorable for spring and summer, but it does run small (I sized up from my normal 0 to a 4). The outfit itself was a little plain I thought so I added a cute floral wristlet from Coach (currently 30% off!). My floral necklace complements the bag too. A subtle addition of florals, but it is a perfect spring look!
