I am so happy that spring is here and the temperatures are starting to warm up. When the weather warms up I like to put away my black pants and turtleneck sweaters and finally start wearing dresses again to work. It just feels so refreshing to put on a stylish dress and not freeze while doing it! So today I wanted to show you one of my favorite dresses I picked up from Ann Taylor this spring. Ann Taylor Textured Polka Dot Shift Dress
Polka dots are stylish no matter what season it is. And in spring it can be so fun to wear a polka dot dress. As soon as I saw this polka dot shift dress I knew it would be perfect for the office and beyond! I like that it is made of a slightly thicker material, with a definite texture to it. And the empire waist really gives this dress definition, and is flattering on just about any body type. I am wearing a 2 petite, though I could have sized down to a 0 petite. This dress falls slightly above the knee, but since it is structured, it is still definitely appropriate for the office.
Add a Pop of Fuchsia
A black and white polka dot dress is nice on it’s own, but I recommend adding colorful accessories to really make the outfit pop. I decided to wear these Marc Fisher fuchsia pumps to add color to this look. The block heel makes these pumps comfortable enough to wear all day, and the pointed toe gives them a slightly edgy look. If fuchsia is not your style these pumps come in 13 other colors too!
