How to Style a Floral Shift Dress

A floral shift dress is always a wardrobe classic. This type of dress could be worn any season, depending on how you styled it. I purchased this floral shift dress from Nordstrom during the fall season, and by the time I had the chance to blog about it, it is no longer available. Fortunately there are so many similar dresses available that this look could easily be recreated.

It has been rather chilly lately (but thank goodness we had some sunshine) so to stay warm and add style, I added this Blank NYC faux leather jacket. For a faux leather moto jacket this is a pretty nice dupe. The faux leather feels relatively soft and the cut and style of this jacket suits a petite frame very well ( I am wearing an XS). I decided to wear this with black booties, but this could have easily been worn with black knee-high or OTK boots.

Other ways you could style this dress include a cardigan sweater or a casual blazer. During the warmer months you wouldn’t need to wear anything at all over the dress. You could also wear this type of dress with block heel sandals or pumps. I would keep the accessories rather simple, given the floral print makes a statement in itself. A dress like this is such a versatile staple piece that I am glad I added to my closet!

Thanks for looking!

  1. This is practically identical to how I would style this dress. Leather jacket? Check! Booties? Check! Cute bag? Check! I love it all from head to toe!

  2. Love the femininity of the florals mixed with the edge from the leather jacket. Nailed it!
