Styling a Black Moto Jacket
I’ve been trying to shop my closet more lately, as I’ve invested in several pieces that you can style multiple ways year after year, including a fitted moto jacket, a twist front tee, black skinnies, and black suede boots. One of my favorite pieces I have invested in is this Topshop black moto jacket. I purchased it during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale a couple of years ago, and this jacket has certainly stood the test of time! Every few months or so I like to pull it out of my closet again to style in a different way. This jacket is one of those staple winter pieces that you can’t go wrong with!

This black moto jacket is great for layering. It is thick enough to keep you warm on a chilly winter day. At the same time it isn’t so bulky that you can’t wear something under or over it. Often I wear it with a dress or skirt to give a feminine outfit an edgier look (as I did in this post). In today’s post I am styling it more casually, with a simple pair of jeans and a scarf for an easy yet stylish weekend look.
Style it with a Scarf
A black moto jacket is a nice simple backdrop for a nice warm scarf. I love this Loft boucle blanket scarf as it is a neutral contrast to my jacket, and it works well with my cream twist front sweater. This pink boucle scarf would be another really nice option. And for a more colorful look I like this Free People Emerson scarf.

Black Skinnies to Tie Things Together
Another closet staple I wear on repeat are these J. Brand Alana high rise skinny jeans. The are definitely petite-friendly with a 26″ inseam. And I really like that they are tight yet slimming at the same time. These are perfect black jeans that you can wear to work or play. They are thick and feel like actual jeans too. I also like that they hold their color, despite multiple washings. These jeans are definitely worth the price!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
