Three Fall Looks You Can Easily Recreate
There is definitely a chill in the air right now. It seems like it went from summer to fall overnight, with lows in the 30’s and highs in the 50’s. But that is just how it goes in the Midwest. As much as I don’t like the colder weather, my favorite thing about the fall is being able to layer clothing for multiple different creative looks. So today I am sharing three fall looks looks you can recreate with pieces you probably already have in your closet. And if you don’t have the pieces, you can easily make a small investment so you can have multiple stylish looks for the fall season.
Layer A Crop Jacket over A Longer Sweater
I have to say this is my favorite look for fall! This especially works well for petite women, as the shorter jacket helps to define your waist. At the same time, the longer sweater works well to keep you warm! Without the jacket a longer sweater such as a tunic might look a little plain. But add the jacket and you instantly have a polished look.

Abound V-Neck Striped Sweater
I owe the inspiration behind this look to Annie of Stylish Petite, one of my favorite petite fashion bloggers. This striped sweater she recommended definitely caught my eye. I am always such a sucker for stripes, and the v-neck design I think looks really nice. This sweater is versatile and comfortable, and the best part – it is under $20 at Nordstrom Rack! This sweater comes in 7 different colors, and at such a great price you can have every color!

Levi’s Trucker Jacket
If you are looking for a nice cropped denim jacket, I love this Levi’s Trucker Jacket (originally worn in this post). I love this jacket because of it’s slim fit and light denim color. This jacket is perfect for petite women like myself. his jacket is the perfect piece to transition from summer to fall. Wear it with a dress, jeans, or shorts and instantly transform your outfit to a casual but chic look.
As for the rest of this outfit I am wearing these petite-friendly J. Brand jeans and my favorite Kate Spade Boots. My boots are sold out but these Tory Burch Boots looks similar (and they are 25% off!

Topshop Leather Moto Jacket (more affordable option here) |Halogen Cashmere Turtleneck (new version here) | Paige Verdugo Ankle Skinny Jeans (similar here and here) | Gucci Pearl Belt | YSL Lou Lou Crossbody Bag | Ann Taylor Mila Leopard Pumps | Bobbi Brown Lipstick (Soft Berry)

Pair a Moto Jacket with a Sweater and a Belt
When the weather is cold, I definitely like layering a cropped moto jacket over a sweater. Once a sign of rebellion, a moto jacket is now a staple in every girl’s wardrobe! A moto jacket can be styled so many different ways for fall looks, but my favorite is to wear it over a tucked in sweater and jeans. Add a belt for chic and stylish look that everyone will notice.

Topshop Leather Biker Jacket
I absolutely love this Topshop leather biker jacket! If you are looking for a moderately priced leather biker jacket that fits well and is well-made, this jacket is it! The red lining is so soft and supple, which makes this jacket so comfortable. This is a great leather jacket for a a petite person. I’m 5’2 and very small on top so 2P is a good fit. This jacket is neither tight nor loose and is slim enough to look sleek but room for a layer. As is typical for Topshop it does run small (which is great for petites) so read the US equivalent sizes. If you are looking for a more affordable/vegan option this Blank NYC Faux Leather jacket is a great option (see where I styled it here).
Wear Olive Denim for Effortless Style
If you don’t already own a pair of olive jeans, they are a great way to mix up the typical jeans and a sweater look for colder weather. Olive is such a neutral color, and it looks great with black, white, and so many colors in between! For the last several seasons this muted color has been popular for the fall, as it will transform your everyday style. I love these Paige olive denim jeans (also found here) as they fit so well (I am wearing a size 26) and they hold their shape through multiple washings.

Ann Taylor Mila Leopard Print Haircalf Pumps
As evidenced with this post, I have a slight obsession with leopard print this year! So for an added element of style for this fall outfit I am wearing these Ann Taylor leopard pumps. I absolutely love these pumps! The heel height is not too high to wear for long periods of time in the office, yet they are still special enough to wear out for a dressier occasion.

As for the third of the stylish fall looks I am featuring , if you are looking for a comfortable yet stylish look, then a body-con dress with a cardigan is the way to go. Stuart Weitzman Hiline Boots
These Stuart Weitzman boots are such a staple pair of boots to wear in the fall or winter. If you like over-the-knee boots you should definitely own a pair of these. They are a bit pricey, but so comfortable and definitely worth every penny. These boots normally run $800 but I found them at 50% off here at DSW. That’s a fantastic price and definitely worth snagging if you have been lusting after these boots.
