My Favorite Boyfriend Shorts of the Season

So the weather is finally starting to get warmer here, and that means it is time for shorts! If you are like me at all, after having four kids and not being in the best shape, even the thought of wearing shorts invokes a sense of fear. Dresses and jeans are no big deal, but shorts and bathing suits are an entirely different matter. One trick I learned is by wearing your shorts slightly bigger, the overall effect the look creates is slimming. I found these STS Blue Boyfriend shorts at Nordstrom recently for under $40. At 5’2″, 112 pounds and a 25 inch waist, the size 26 gave me just the extra room I need. The light blue color is really nice, and the distressing really adds character to these shorts. These will definitely be on frequent rotation for me this summer!

My top is a fun and flirty ruffle sleeve top from Abercrombie and Fitch. The pretty blue floral design is so feminine and perfect for spring. If flowers are not your style, this top also comes in pink, white, and olive solid colors. A red floral design, a navy pattern, and a striped design are also available.  This top is on sale right now for under $30 and it is a great top to add to your summer wardrobe.

Daniel Wellington Classy St. Mawes Watch

My watch is one of the new styles from the Daniel Wellington Classic collection (The Classy St. Mawes). The leather strap is great for a more casual look, but the Swarovski crystals keep the watch elegant and feminine. I really like the slim and minimalistic design. The case is 26 mm, and this is perfect for my petite wrists.
