8 Fall Sweaters Under $50

It felt like summer last week and now this week it feels like winter.  I love fall but I absolutely dread the freezing temperatures of winter. When it is freezing outside I want nothing more but to wear a warm cozy sweater and a pair of jeans. The sweaters that have caught my eye this season include very simple sweaters with a hint of detail that can be worn for both work and weekend wear.  Today’s post is all about finding affordable sweaters for the fall and winter season!

One of my favorite fall sweaters of the season is this classic V. Neck sweater by BP found at Nordstrom. This is just one of those nice basic sweaters that is perfect for layering. It comes in five colors and is priced at only $45. This is one of those fall sweaters that will never really go out of style and is a great staple wardrobe piece. I am wearing an XS and it fits just right on me.

I do think the sweater is a little plain on its own. One of the trends I have been loving this fall season is the lace bralette. This pretty ivory one by Free People is only $20 and is perfect to wear with a v-neck sweater or a sheer top. I love the ivory color, but it also comes in five other colors.  The price is so good it is easy to justify getting it in more than one color! This bralette is well made and the lace pattern is just so feminine! It doesn’t provide a lot of support, so I wore it over my bra. One couldn’t tell at all that I was actually wearing two bras. 

I don’t often wear super-distressed jeans, but for an edgier weekend look these mid-rise distressed ankle jeans by Express are perfect! I have been really impressed with the quality and sizing of Express jeans lately, and that keeps me buying more styles. These jeans actually come in petite sizes, which means they actually look like cropped jeans on me. I am wearing a 2 and these fit just right.

Can I tell you how much I’ve been loving the Sugarfix by Baublebar line at Target? The pieces are just as nice as the original Baublebar designs. It is nice to be able to walk into my local Target and look at the jewelry in person. This Celestial Statement Necklace and Earring set is just so pretty! I received so many compliments on my necklace when I wore it.

My boots are my favorite pair from last season. These Rag and Bone Harrow boots are so well made and  classically styled though that they still look great this season.  I paid a pretty penny for these boots, and I was shocked to see they are still available at 6PM in all sizes for under $200! That price is a steal for these boots!

There are so many lovely fall sweaters this season that are reasonably priced. I wore the cream version of this laced sleeve sweater in this post. I like the grey version too as the tie detail is easier to see. A good cardigan is always a great wardrobe staple and I love this pretty brown one. This fuzzy gray tunic sweater looks so warm and cozy, and the bell sleeves add such a flair of drama. This rib-knit mock neck sweater in yellow would look great with dark grey jeans. While this cardigan isn’t technically a sweater, it is one of my favorite winter layering pieces in my closet! I have it in mink and I wear it to work all the time. I adore this Madewell Tie-Sleeve pullover sweater. The tie sleeves add whimsical detail. Finally this soft pink Dolman sweater by BP could easily be worn with pants or a pair of jeans.
