All Things Gingham
My name is April and spring has to be my favorite time of year! It is this time of year that everywhere around us the trees and flowers come alive with color. There is literally a beautiful spot everywhere you turn! I thought about titling this post “Under the Magnolia Tree” given we took these pictures in front of a magnificent magnolia tree at sunset. Given the post is really about my love of gingham, I decided to title the post about my favorite gingham dress of the season.
Adelyn Rae Belle Midi Dress
I have often posted about my love of gingham on this blog. Gingham is such a timeless and classic pattern, that really does stand the test of time. Springtime and gingham are practically synonymous, which is why you will see so many gingham pieces available this time of year. I stumbled across this Adelyn Rae Belle Midi Dress one day and it took my breath away as soon as I saw it! Everything about this dress I love. The combination of gingham and lace is what makes this dress so distinctive. The tie waist helps to define the waist and makes this dress flattering on anyone! And the flirty ruffle details just make this dress so feminine!
This dress is perfect for the springtime. I wore it out on a lunch date with my family, but it would be perfect for a spring or summer shower or wedding. I have to admit I paid full price for this dress, but during the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale this dress is available for under $68, which I think is a fabulous price for the quality you get. This dress is definitely petite-friendly and I am wearing my typical XS.
When it comes to accessorizing this dress, I’ve decided to use the same straw hat and basket that I fell in love with last year. This Sole Society boater hat really adds to the flirtatious style of the outfit. My Hat Attack straw bag adds texture to the look, and the neutral color will go with just about every outfit. I’ve gotten so many complements on this bag!
