Halogen Funnel Neck Cashmere Sweater

Today’s post is all about a simple and classic outfit. As a fashion blogger, I don’t really consider myself fashion forward. And that is perfectly okay with me. I feel like if I keep my looks fairly simple and I have pieces that are fairly interchangeable, my wardrobe will be a lot more versatile overall. So when I saw this Halogen Funnel Neck Cashmere Sweater in black and white stripe it instantly caught my eyes. I love just about anything with a stripe pattern in it and this classic black and white sweater is no exception. A good cashmere sweater is an essential here in the midwest during the winter. And a turtleneck cashmere sweater is even better!

As you can see in these pictures the snow is falling. We had yet another blizzard this weekend and that means there’s lots of snow on the ground. I was running around like a mad woman on Saturday, taking my kids to their sports, grocery shopping and heading to my niece’s birthday party. So I needed to wear an outfit that would work for a busy weekend day. I also needed an outfit that would keep me warm the frigid and snowy weather. As I mentioned in my last post, embracing the winter for what it is, is so important! And that means dressing the part. A good cashmere sweater combined with a warm wool coat does wonders for keeping you warm! I tell you I am counting down the days until my husband and I leave for our Caribbean getaway in a couple of weeks.

This Halogen Cashmere Funnel Neck Sweater not only comes in stripes, but it also comes in black, gray and red. Now is a great time to buy this sweater because it is 20% off the list price. With six more weeks of winter in the forecast, a sweater like this will still be able to be worn plenty of times! This sweater is one of those easy and versatile pieces that would be easy to dress up or dress down. I am wearing it here with jeans, but it could just as easily be worn with a nice pair of black pants for work.

Everything else in my outfit are things that I have worn before. I love being able to remix items in my closet to come up with an entirely new look. My Burberry coat is I think the most worn coat in my closet as it just goes with so many things! As a mentioned in my camel coat post a camel coat is one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your closet. And a good camel coat will provide instant sophistication to any look.

Accessories are always the finishing touch to any outfit. The Gucci belt has been a blogger favorite this year, and I can certainly see why! I decided to get the pearl belt (truthfully, because the gold belt was sold out at the time) and I’m so glad I did! This belt gives any outfit that extra touch to make even the simplest outfit more glamorous! But honestly any embellished belt would work to add style to your look. I also love this jewel-buckle leather belt from Talbot’s as it would work just as well with this outfit!

So stay warm if it is cold and snowy where you are too. February is a short month, and then spring is right around the corner!

As always, thanks for looking!

  1. This is a great winter outfit and you look stunning in it! I love that you wear classic and versatile pieces, which is something I’m trying to do with my wardrobe rather than everything that’s super trendy at the time. Great inspiration for my own closet 🙂

  2. I’m jealous of your snow! We are getting nothing out here in Colorado this year! But you look so adorable and the flurries are such a perfect touch to this outfit post! I’m really into that tank top!

  3. Your style is so classic. Love it! I would totally freeze with a torn denim even if it’s tiny but it looks so great on you!

  4. honestly, basics are the best <3 i can't live without my basics haha i basically only buy basics xD

  5. Another great outfit that I would love to have. The belt is everything to me, I think I might order it tonight.

  6. I absolutely love this outfit- you’ve created a look that is both chic and functional! I only wish it got cold enough in San Diego to wear a turtleneck!

  7. Love your outfit! I’m a hug fan of tan trench-style coats so this outfit is right up my alley. They just add that “classy af” vibe to every outfit haha!

  8. I loved your look in total, you look gorgous. But loved the coat the most.. I have been wanting to get one since a very long time..

  9. I love the look, so classic. I have the coat but my closet gets more use out of it than I do here in South Florida. So envious of you all having the snow along with the cold weather.

  10. I love simple outfits like this. It’s what gets me through the way and I love that it’s kinda a classic look that never goes away. Also staying warm in the winter is so important!

  11. That sweater looks adorable and sounds perfect for the winter! I personally can’t have things touch my neck after having thyroid surgery, but I know my sister would love it! But I do want that jacket for myself, it’s perfect!

  12. I LOVE this look!! Fitted turtlenecks + Camel Coats are one of my all-time favorite ‘classic’ looks! You definitely pull it off.

  13. I really like this outfit! It is definitely my style, it looks a lot like something I’d wear. Except I’ve never tried a striped turtleneck, I have a lot of them but all black or beige, I should try and get one with stripes because it looks so nice!

  14. This is such a great look with some must-have’s that should be in everyone’s closets. Booties are definitely my go-to shoes during the colder months. Love yours!

  15. THIS OUTFIT IS QUINTESSENTIALLY FLAWLESS! THE CAMEL COAT AND GG BELT ARE PERFECT TOGETHER, AS WELL AS BEING TIMELESS!
