 Why I love the Banana Republic Flutter Sleeve Top…

I was scrolling through Instagram one day as I happened to be heading to my local mall. A sponsored post from Banana Republic came up in my feed and I instantly noticed it. I loved the feminine sleeves of this top and I loved the stripes. When I walked into the Banana Republic store, I asked about the top. The salesperson said they had it, but also showed me the $78 dollar price tag. I was not pleased with that as I thought it should have cost less. I walked away from the store but decided to come back after I realized I had a $15 in Gap cash that could go towards the top.  I also discovered that day, that because I am a teacher at the university, I was able to get an additional 20% off any full price items (not only does BR do this, but so does J. Crew, and Express). That day the top happened to be 40% off as well, so I ended up walking out of the store with the top for $18! Definitely a bargain compared to the full price for the flutter sleeve top.

So back to why I love it. This is a great top for spring, summer, and early fall. The sleeves add such pretty detail, and that makes the shirt so attractive. It is well-constructed, and can be worn as a work or a casual top. And of course the stripes are also one of my favorite features about the top. I paired this with my Hudson ankle rise skinny jeans (28″ inseam but I roll the bottoms up to shorten the inseam). My Frye Blake sandals completed the outfit. Perfect for a late summer afternoon.
