The Best Summer Clearance Sales

Here in the Midwest, summer seems to be so fleeting. It is hard to believe August is almost here, and that means fall is just around the corner. I am trying to soak up every last minute of summer that I can, because I know after it is over, for the next six months fashion will be all about sweaters, coats, boots, and jeans.

So even though fall is not far away, now is a great time to find some great summer items on clearance. In todays outfit I am wearing this adorable tie-shoulder ruffle top with eyelet trim. I came across this top when perusing through the latest J. Crew sale and I instantly thought it was adorable. I knew I just had to have it. This top has it all with the pretty blue gingham pattern, the ruffled detail at the top of the shirt, and of course the eyelet trim. This top just begs to be worn on a warm summer day! Better yet this top is on sale for under $25 (with code YAYSALE). I am wearing a size 0 (which is sold out, though size 4 and up are still available).  J. My shorts are from Express are also on sale at 30% off (final price $34.93). I consider white denim shorts to be a summer staple wardrobe piece. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of Express denim. I bought my first pair of Express jeans last year, and was impressed with how they fit and how they looked (see the post of them here and the newer version can be found here). They are made of cotton, but the spandex in them makes them slightly stretchy (and definitely comfortable) The distressed detail on these shorts keep them looking on trend.

They also offer petite sizing. I love these high-waisted distressed vintage jeans. I hope bootcut jeans don’t completely go out of style, and I don’t think they will with these petite-friendly mid-rise bootcut jeans. It’s always nice to have a black pair of jeans in your wardrobe, and these black high-waisted distressed black jeans are perfect!
