Downeast Basics – Clothing Made With You In Mind

One of my favorite things about blogging is discovering new brands. For those of you who live out West you are probably familiar with Downeast Basics. Downeast Basics is a store that features classic and stylish clothing and home decor that is designed to flatter you and your home. Their focus is on quality and affordability, with a keen focus on customer service, both in-store and online. So when Downeast Basics reached out to me, I was happy to collaborate!

Downcast Basics offers a wide array of dresses, tops, sweaters, and skirts that are wearable and stylish! I love this pretty blue ruffle dress with it’s ruffled empire waist and floral pattern. This is the kind of dress that can be worn for just about any occasion. It is dressy enough to wear to the office, yet casual enough to wear for a lunch date.

Given fall is just around the corner, I decided to style it with some navy suede booties to accent the navy dress. On a warmer summer day it would look great with sandals such as these crisscross sandals

I just love the ruffle detail in this dress! The empire waist flatters the figure, yet this dress remains very comfortable! I received so many complements when I wore it!

Downeast Basics Tie Sleeve Top

Downeast Basics also offers lots of stylish tops for the upcoming fall season. With navy and burgundy stripes and a cute tie sleeve detail, this top is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall.

I decided to wear this top with a simple pair of jeans for a casual look. Style it with shorts on a hot summer day. For a fun look, pattern mix it with a floral skirt and cardigan too!

Overall I find Downeast Basics styling to be true to size. I am wearing my typical XS and this top fit perfectly. A blend of rayon/Spandex jersey knit fabric makes this top stretchy and comfortable.

To complete the look, I am styling this top with a brown Gucci belt and my coveted Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis crossbody bag.

So if you are shopping out west, be sure to stop in a Downeast Basics store near you! If you live anywhere else shop online, and you will find prompt shipping and great customer service.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

  1. Both of these outfits look so comfortable, but still look nice! I really like the shirt with the ties on the sides. I haven’t heard of the brand before so need to see what I can find!

  2. I really like the details of the shirt on the sleeves. Unique for sure. It’s harder than it should be sometimes to find unique details on clothes.

  3. I’ve not heard of Downeast Basics (I guess they’re not in the UK) but these two outfits are lovely – I particularly like the striped top!

  4. I love how you styled basic pieces everyone has in their wardrobes. These make for lovely fall looks as well – ah, you’ve got me excited for autumn!

  5. Do you mind sharing your size? What size do you wear at Loft, for example? I’m trying to figure out if I can fit in XS Downeast basics clothes or if they will all be too big! They don’t have a great return policy via mail, so I want to be sure things will be close to fitting before ordering online. Thanks so much!
