The Gal Meets Glam Collection Is Here!
I took a hiatus from posting for a few days as the weekend was crazy busy with taking the kids to parties, sporting events, and the usual errands. We spent the evening in the ER with my oldest daughter yesterday evening after she fell on the ice rink and sliced open her chin. Thankfully she is OK though (after a few stitches she is a little worse for the wear).
Anyway, after all the craziness I finally had the chance to take pictures of my favorite dress from Julia Engel’s new Gal Meets Glam Collection. Julia has always been one of my favorite fashion bloggers. I just love her classic and timeless style as I can identify with it so much. As soon as she announced her new dress collection I knew that I was going to want one of her dresses. So on the day they were released I picked out the dress I had been eyeing from her look book. And I am happy to see that the Samantha fit and flair dress that I am wearing absolutely exceeds my expectations!
Gal Meets Glam Samantha Dress
There are so many beautiful dresses to choose from the Gal Meets Glam Collection. The collection of dresses runs from size 0 to 20 and can be found both at Nordstrom (including 40 stores around the country) and directly on the Gal Meets Glam e-commerce site. And all of the dresses are under $200. It really was hard to choose just one as I could see myself wearing almost all of them! In the end I choose the Samantha dress because I like the feminine A-line style of the dress. This dress is flattering on pretty much every body type. I love the soft pink color and of course the stripes are a classic touch.
My favorite detail of the Samantha Dress from the Gsl Meets Glam Collection is the pretty bow on the back of the dress. The bow detail at the back truly elevates the style of this dress!
When deciding to choose which dress from the the Gal Meets Glam Collection that I wanted I took a look at the length of all of the different dresses. As a petite person, I wanted a dress that fit above the knee on the models wearing them. I knew that an above the knee dress would end up falling slightly below my knees. Anything longer might be too long and have to be hemmed. The Samantha dress fits me perfectly, just the way I wanted it to. The Gal Meets Glam collection of dresses runs true to size. I am wearing a size 2, but I probably could’ve even gone down to a size 0 in this dress.
Even though I am not showing it, the Samantha dress even has pockets. The dress is even fully lined, which makes the dress look fuller. No detail is spared in the creation of this dress!
The Samantha dress is the perfect dress to go from day to evening. At work I would wear this with a white blazer and white pumps. For a dressier evening look I would wear it just the way I am showing you with a simple crystal necklace and off-white block heels.
Overall, I just couldn’t be more impressed with the Gal Meets Glam collection! Julia’s passion for design is evident in every single dress she creates. All of her dresses are so classic, feminine and elegant. The Samantha dress will certainly not be the last dress of hers that I buy as I think they are definitely worth the investment.
