Fall Is Just Around The Corner

I don’t know how, but I somehow survived this first week back to work and back to school for the kids. It was just three days ago that we had 90 degree heat with high humidity. My kids were all set to wear their fall clothes for the first day of school, but I told them it would be way too hot to do so. So off to school they went in shorts and tank tops. But just like that, and two days later the temperatures dropped and we went from blistering heat to having a chill in the air. And that is just how it goes in the Midwest! I do love the fall season, even though I dread what comes after it. I love the changing leaves, the smell of apple cider, and of course pumpkin spice latte! One of the things I enjoy most about fall is dressing for the season. I love layering outfits, and mixing colors with textures. Which brings me to today’s post! Loft has really come up with some fun new looks for the fall season, and I wanted to show you a few of my favorite Loft new arrivals today.  

Loft Boyfriend Cardigan

 A cardigan is a must-have piece in your fall wardrobe. I love this boyfriend cardigan that is a part of the Loft new arrivals. This cardi is soft and lightweight enough to wear on a cooler summer day. On an even chillier fall day it is a great piece to layer over a long sleeve top for extra warmth. This is the kind of sweater you can easily dress up for work with a skirt. For a weekend casual look wear it with jeans and a tank. This cardi is just so flattering too! If you are looking for a fun floral skirt for the fall season, this is it! I love everything about this skirt! The pink and white floral pattern is just so pretty and will definitely get you in the fall mood. It is lightweight enough to wear on a warmer day. There are so many other great skirts and dresses that are a part of the Loft new arrivals. This plaid ruffle skirt would be so fun to wear to work during the fall and winter season (and it’s under $40). Tweed is aways such a classic fabric, and this tweed dress would be perfect to wear during the fall as well. And you cannot go wrong with this versatile black A-line skirt, and it is also under $40. 

Since I wore this outfit to work, I decided to style it with a simple cream cami and black pumps. This is the kind of outfit that will definitely be on repeat this season! I like to wear more comfortable pieces as the work week progresses, and this outfit definitely is easy to wear.
