With Christmas now only one day away, I’ve finally finished all of the shopping I had to do. Half of the gifts are wrapped (but I still have half to go!). And the kids are bursting at the seams with excitement. During the holidays I always like to dress more festively without overdoing it. With lots of more relaxed Christmas events to attend, it is always fun to incorporate a bit of red and green into an outfit, even if it is a casual look. In today’s post I am showing you just how to do that!

J. Crew Tartan Scarf

I’ve been posting a lot of J. Crew lately, as they have been having some awesome sales (right now it is 40% off all sale styles with code BIGSALE). And after hosting a local blogger event with J. Crew, I have been even more inspired by their styles this season! The Tartan scarf is always a classic, and the red and green pattern makes such a statement! I like this scarf because of the holiday colors, but it is basic enough that you could really wear it any time in the winter. This scarf is so thick and warm, and is just what you need on a frigid winter day. And my red beret accents the red in the scarf perfectly!

Kensie Oversize Collar Coat

I’ve been loving Kensie coats lately, as their coats are both stylish and affordable. The coat I’m wearing is last year’s version of this oversize collar coat, but the styles are virtually identical. This is just a nice lightweight wool-blend coat that is perfect over a sweater. And I love the soft blush color too (though it also comes black and a soft lilac color). 

Splendid Newbury Boots

If you’re looking for a nice pair of brown suede boots, I love these Splendid Newbury boots. The light oak color I am wearing looks great with so many outfits. And the heel isn’t too high so you can wear these boots for hours on end!
