Styling a Lace Up Sweater with a Cropped Jacket

Lace up sweaters have definitely been on-trend this season. I have seen them worn many ways, but one of the most stylish way I have seen them worn is layered with a cropped jacket. I like this lace up sweater because it is more form-fitting and gives a more tailored look (as opposed to many of the tunic-style lace up sweaters I have seen). This sweater stands out on it’s own but to add style I decided to pair it with a brown leather moto jacket. I’ve had the one I am wearing since the beginning of the fall season. The leather is soft and the jacket is more warm and comfortable than many faux-leather jackets available. Now is a great time to buy this jacket as it 25% off (typically leather moto jackets will be over $500).

I bought the jeans I am wearing at the suggestion of Jean from Extra Petite, The darker denim color adds such a nice contrast to lighter tops. They are petite friendly with a 28″ inseam. I like them too because the distressing actually falls at my kneecaps and not below them. These jeans are sold out but a similar pair can be found here. I would definitely size down in these jeans by one size as they do run big in the waist. Mine ran a bit too big and I ended up washing and drying them on hot to make them fit a little better.

To add to the look I am holding a simple leopard folder clutch, which tied the browns and darker colors together. A nice pair of neutral stilettos completes the look.
