Duffield Lane – A Michigan Based Fashion Design Company

I have always been a big supporter of local companies. Buying from local companies is a good idea for several reasons. First of all you are directly directly supporting your own local economy. I like being able to interact with the owners, because the experience itself is more personal. And finally, by giving my money to a local company, I am directly improving the quality of life of the person running that business.

Why am I mentioning all of this? More often than not I am buying from a large retailer that is based no where near where I live. This is definitely not the case with Duffield Lane! Duffield Lane is a Grand Rapid, Michigan design company that specializes in women’s clothing that is classic, timeless and comfortable. Their clothing is stylish, fun, and made for the busy woman who wants to stay fashionable.   So when I had the opportunity to collaborate with Duffield Lane, I was thrilled!

In today’s post I am wearing the Buckley Dress in watermelon. This is a great spring/summer dress in a pretty coral color (though it also comes in white). This dress is both comfortable and stylish. I can see this dress easily being worn on a casual weekend day or a day at the beach. I am wearing the XS and it fits perfectly without any alterations.

Duffield Lane clothing can be found in boutiques throughout the country. They have an online store as well. They will be having their first store opening in Grand Rapids this summer as well!
