The Suede OTK Boots You’ll Want to Have
Fall really is here in Michigan now, so I am saying goodbye to the tank tops, summer dresses, and shorts. Of course, I do love the change of seasons (though I absolutely dread winter) and I love wearing sweaters. In today’s post I am wearing a Loft Chunky Two in One Sweater in my favorite slate blue color. I am also rewearing a slate blue plaid scarf from Nordstrom (previously seen here) as I love how it complements the blue of the sweater. To complete the outfit, I paired this with my Rag and Bone ‘Murray’ cropped skinny jeans and Goodnight Macaroon ‘Carina’ Taupe OTK suede boots.
So a word about these boots. A pair of grey suede OTK boots has been on my wish list for quite some time. I had planned on getting the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots (as I already own a black pair that I like) but the $800 price tag concerned me. I had looked at Nordstrom and the only light gray pair they had was not even real suede and they still were not cheap. So when I saw that these on the Goodnight Macaroon website were on sale (for a final price of $115) I figured that I would take a chance and try them. They do have a return site in the United States, so that also reassured me. I am very glad I did! There are several reasons why I like them:
- First of all, Quality-wise, there is very little difference in the suede material of these and my Stuart Weitzman boots.
- Second, they actually stay up above my knee without falling (something I can’t say about my Stuart Weitzman ones).
- Finally, as for comfort, these are only slightly less comfortable as my feet did hurt by the end of the day (on the first day of wearing them). I do think these require a break-in period.
If you don’t want to buy something from overseas, I think the Cole Haan Darla OTK Boots are also a nice option.
Thanks for looking!

I love how classically fall this look is, and the colors are just so pretty! That’s awesome that these boots seem to be awesome even compared to Stuart Weitzman!

Such a great color! And the backdrop is gorgeous! It all comes together so well–
Hi April, I absolutely LOVE this blue color scheme in your outfit! It looks perfect on you! I wish I owned something in this color. Also, great to hear your OTK boots worked out well AND were at an excellent price point! It is always a little scary purchasing from a new company/brand.
