New York Fashion Week Inspiration
New York Fashion Week 2018 is here! If you follow fashion at all then you know that this is the end all be all event of the year where all the big fashion brands come together to show the latest trends. While I didn’t go this year, I did go last year and what an amazing (and intimidating) experience it was! It really is a surreal experience to go and see all the high fashion trends, and it certainly gives you a better idea of how to shop for the upcoming season. So read on for my tips and tricks for navigating fashion week, and see all my favorite Fashion Week styles that you can find on eBay. From purses, designer shoes, to watches, to one-of a kind fashion finds, I always seem to find what I want on eBay. And I have never been disappointed with eBay’s customer service!
New York Fashion Week Dresses
Above all else, when it comes to what to wear to Fashion Week, be true to yourself and who you are. As I said, New York Fashion week is intimidating, and the last thing you want to do is wear an outfit that makes you feel insecure or uncomfortable. Fortunately there are so many great styles you can wear that will flatter you and make you feel confident for all the big shows! There is no limit to the stylish fashion finds you can find on eBay. I am wearing this glam Velvet by Graham and Spencer Taya Star Print Dress that I found on eBay. With it’s distinctive star print pattern, this dress is perfect for a night on the town. Not only is it flattering for just about any body type, the chiffon material is comfortable to wear the entire too! And the ruffle details really make this dress so feminine!
eBay is a great resource for designer dresses, and they can often be found at a discount. Trending dresses for fashion week include puffed shoulder, velvet, mixed metallics, and asymmetrical lines. I love this Rebecca Taylor Ruby A-line silk blend dress. The floral design is so classic yet the puffed shoulders give this dress a modern twist. For a look that will turn heads this Becca sequin dress is sure to stop the show. This budget-friendly sequin dress is a nice alternative that won’t break the bank. You can never go wrong with any Self Portrait dress for fashion week and this lace off the shoulder dress is no exception. For a classic velvet option this Saint Laurent dress is simply stunning. I also love this Michelle Mason velvet number too!
Buying a Designer Bag on eBay
As I’ve said in this post, eBay is a great resource for designer bags. And you certainly want to show off your best bags for New York Fashion Week! My classic Chanel WOC I am carrying here can be found on eBay too. E-bay is a great place to buy a designer bag, and often is the first place I look when deciding to purchase one. Expect to pay a reasonable, fair price for a designer bag. It shouldn’t be significantly less expensive than the retail price (but at least a little lower). Pictures are everything. Look for auctions with many detailed pictures, including the original receipt and/or original box. And try to buy local. If you are in the United States, stick to US based sellers. Small, individual sellers can be a great resource for designer bags.
Designer Shoes and Boots on eBay
eBay is also a great resource for designer shoes! My favorite Stuart Weitzman Hiline boots can be found on eBay. I love these boots because they are comfortable, they keep me warm, and they make my legs look longer than they really are. Comfortable shoes are a must for Fashion Week. You going to be walking and running around everywhere, sometimes over cobblestones, and up and down stairs. 6 inch stilettos will just not cut it. As for trending shoes and boots for Fashion Week, boots (especially red and white ones). If you are going to wear heels, keep them low (such as these Louboutins) or make sure they have a platform.
So when it comes to all your fashion finds, eBay really is a wonderful resource. You can find almost anything you want on eBay! And fast shipping with great customer service will keep me shopping at eBay time and time again!

I’ve never been big on fashion and following trends, but I have to say those boots are adorable! I have one pair, but they aren’t that tall. I don’t know if I can pull them off like you can, but maybe I haven’t been wearing the right dress.
i love that dress with those boots, its such a lovely combination! i feel like a thick belt around your waste and switching out a few accessories could give you a comfy Fall/Halloween witch type look too. I think thats what i like most about the look, is that i can see it being versatile
I’m always wary about buying designer anything online. You can never tell if they’re authentic or not. But knowing that someone has done it gives me a boost of confidence!
