Resort Wear 2018 | The Palms Turks and Caicos
If you’ve been following my Instagram feed at all lately, you’ll see that I’m actually in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos! We are currently staying at The Palms Turks and Caicos, which is a beautiful 5-star resort on the island of Providenciales. It is such a welcome relief to be out of the cold and snowy Michigan weather. We are having a fantastic time here and there will be a full review soon of the resort. However I couldn’t wait to at least publish one blog post from our trip. There are so many beautiful spots at The Palms that are perfect photo opportunities. So today I am featuring one of my favorite spring dresses, in a location where the weather is warm enough to actually wear it. At the same time, I thought I would also post about some of my favorite resort wear pieces.
As a petite woman, I really like wearing above the knee dresses in the summer. I’ve had my eye on this Lioness Caliente ruffle dress for quite a while, and our winter getaway was the perfect opportunity to wear it. The polka dot pattern and the ruffle detail make this dress so feminine! This dress is perfect for a weekend day at the pier, a lunch date on a warm day, and even a casual dinner. This dress is a wrap style, and unlike many other wrap dresses I have worn, this one actually stays put where it should. Sizing is fairly accurate, and I am wearing an XS here.
Isn’t this round bag by Ellen and James just adorable? I knew as soon as I saw it, that it had to be mine. At $75 it is a great price too. As for the popularity of this bag, I wasn’t the only one wearing it at the resort. It surprised me a bit to see someone else carrying such a unique bag, but at the same time I can see why so many people wold like it. It is sold out at Revolve, but you can still purchase it directly from Ellen and James.
Erik Jatvis Gondolier Hat
I tell you, I searched high and low for a boater hat that had a white ribbon around it. All the ones I have found in the last two seasons have a black ribbon, and sometime that will just not do. I was happy to finally find one, but I paid a pretty penny for this Erik Javtis gondolier hat. However I can attest to the quality, and I know this hat will last for years.
