A Tweed Dress is Perfect for a Professional Wardrobe

I posted earlier about how a tweed jacket is a wardrobe essential (see here). Now I am going to talk about why I think a tweed sheath dress is also a wardrobe essential. When SheIn contacted me to collaborate with them about their clothing again, I decided to feature this tweed dress they sell. As a working professional, I thought this tweed dress would be very stylish and practical for work. Additionally, it can be worn so many different ways. These pictures were taken on a very chilly day, so I decided to wear it with my Express classic trench in cream. Cream and navy are another favorite color combination of mine, so this is why I chose this cream trench coat. With the coat I was able to create a sophisticated, professional look.

Of course, this dress can stand out on it’s own as well. Many retailers sell tweed sheath dresses, but none have the unique fringe detail that this tweed sheath dress does. The dress is very well made. Furthermore, it is very well priced at under $30. I am wearing an XS and it required absolutely no alterations. This tweed sheath dress does require some assistance with the zipper, however, as I couldn’t zip it by myself. To coordinate with the navy color of the dress, I am wearing my Cole Haan navy Bethany pumps. When I wore it to work, I wore it with a navy drape cardigan, but I could also see wearing this with a navy blazer. As another idea, it could be worn underneath a navy peplum top. Overall, I highly recommend this dress if you are looking for a basic tweed dress for a professional occasion.
