How to Wear Camel and Navy
Happy Wednesday everyone! It is midway through the week, and I thought I would show you today one of my favorite office-friendly outfits of the season. In my last post I showed you how to wear camel and gray. Today I am featuring a camel and navy look. Camel is one of those colors that goes well with so many other colors, which is why I have so many camel pieces in my wardrobe. Camel looks best with a darker color such a a deep black or a dark blue, as the contrasting colors really do play well off of each other.

Classic Plaid Coats
I told my husband the other day, that if I had to identify with any other country’s fashion philosophy, it would be Britain. Every time I see classic British style I just love it – their simple, timeless classic pieces really appeal to me. When I see British royalty wearing their outfits, just about everything they wear I could see myself wearing. I literally have 6 Burberry coats, and I love them all! I suppose it is because I have British ancestry in my blood too. So when I saw this plaid topcoat from Zara, it reminded me exactly of the kind of coat you would see a stylish Londoner wearing. And I knew it would be the perfect coat for my navy and camel outfit. I am wearing the XS and this topcoat fits perfectly without any alterations.
If shopping at Zara isn’t for you, there are a few other plaid topcoats I have found that are nice. I also like this one by the British brand Topshop (see the petite version here and it’s on sale too!). This black and white one is a bit thicker and better for colder temperatures. This one from Velvet by Graham and Spencer would look great with navy as well. For a lighter colored option, I really like this light grey one by Levi’s. And I’ve had this Reformation coat on my wishlist for months.

J. Crew Factory Wool Pencil Skirt
I love this wool pencil skirt so much that I have it in three colors! It is very well made, and I find it is just as nice as some of my regular J. Crew wool skirts. Their skirts to tend to run large, so I am wearing a 0 petite and it fits perfectly. J. Crew Factory is having another amazing sale right now and they are offering 60% off everything as well as free shipping. So this skirt can be had for under $25, which is a fantastic price.
More Factory Favorites

What really makes this outfit come together is this Salvatore Ferragamo reversible belt. This is definitely an investment piece, but is well worth it in my opinion. And it is really two belts in one (one side is navy and the other is black). And I think it is a bit more classic than your typical Gucci belt too.
Anyway, as always, thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
