Weekend Casual with J. Jill Summer Collection
As long as hard as I work during the week, the weekends are something I really look forward to! Weekends though are just as busy for me as the weekdays though, as my days are typically spent taking the kids to their various practices, grocery shopping, and squeezing in a few photo shoots. So when I’m not doing a photoshoot of the latest dress, a chic, yet comfortable outfit is really what I want to wear! I have been really loving the new summer collection from J.Jill as their light and airy pieces really do fit my lifestyle and are great for the hot summer days.
This layered crinkled-cotton top is so classy, lightweight and versatile too! I love how this top has two connected layers with distinct textures. The ruffled hem at the bottom adds a feminine touch. I am wearing it here as a simple tunic, but it would also look great with a cardigan or jacket on a cooler day. This 100% cotton top doesn’t wrinkle easily as many cotton tops do. And it is lightweight enough to wear on a warm day.
My jeans are some of the best-fitting petite jeans I have ever found! Finally a crop pant that actually falls above my ankle. I love this bright coral color, but these pants also come in a chambray, olive, and white color. The fringe detail at the hem adds such a nice touch too! I am wearing my typical 2 petite and these jeans fit perfectly.
And to add just a little bit of visual interest to the outfit, I am wearing this adorable starfish necklace. It definitely adds a whimsical touch to this casual look.
J. Jill Life in Linen Collection
This colorful linen tunic is part of J.Jill’s Life in Linen collection. This top is one of those basic closet staples that looks great on its own, or under a cardigan or jacket. I love the bright magenta color, but this top also come in a bright green color, a pretty dark blue color and white.
This top does run a bit large, and just because I am so petite I decided to tuck it in so you can actually see my legs. I left the back out a bit though as it really is meant to wear as a tunic.
My favorite part about this look are these adorable cropped cutwork jeans. I love the fabric, fit and detailing! The pretty floral cutwork pattern above the hem make these jeans so feminine. These jeans are definitely true to size, and the 2 petite fits me perfectly.

I love casual wear! I think the faux double layering is my favorite. It always helps shirts fit me better, because I have a longer torso!
