I thought I would do another post about Work Wednesday. As I’ve said before I have to dress up for work five days a week. More often than not I am wearing professional attire. When it comes to pieces that are work appropriate, I also like to invest in pieces that will serve duel functions. Pieces that work for both weekend and casual wear are versatile and that saves you money.
This ruffle front cardigan is part of Talbots new arrivals for the spring. We had a brief reprieve from the cold weather so I was able to wear it this weekend and for work as well on Monday. I like this cardigan because it is lightweight for spring and it can be worn so many different ways. The ruffle detail adds such a fun and whimiscal touch to this cardigan!
I am wearing this adorable cardigan for work with a classic navy sheath dress also from Talbots new arrivals. I’ve always loved the color combination of navy and cream. This cardigan with navy accents such as the buttons and the trim make it the perfect choice to wear with this navy sheath dress.
I decided to accent the dress with one of my favorite new belts from Ferragamo. This belt is one of my favorites because it is such a classic and it is also reversible from navy blue to black. So I will be able to wear with so many outfits both for work and casual wear! I have to say I had it in my shopping cart at Bloomingdale’s when it was on sale and the next day when I went to buy it it was sold out. I was dismayed so I ended up buying it on Farfetch. I’ve always had good luck with buying designer items on Farfetch. The pieces I have bought are brand new, authentic and are usually shipped within 1 to 2 days to my home.
This Ferragamo belt nicely accents the dress and the cardigan. And it really defines my waist and is very flattering to my figure overall.
Navy tights and navy heels complete the look. And I am wearing my new favorite navy bag from Gigi New York. I love this bag because it’s well-made and I just love the navy color. I love this bag for work because it looks professional. It is more than adequate enough to hold all of my purse essentials.

My weekends are all about running errands with my kids such as taking them to ice-skating, tennis and doing grocery shopping. More often than not my weekends are busier than my workdays with everything going on our crazy life. So when it comes to practical weekend where this adorable ruffle front cardigan also works!
To style this cardigan with jeans I am wearing a matching ivory tank top that is also from Talbots new arrivals. I decided to wear darker jeans with a navy accent at the hem.This also complements the navy accents in the cardigan.
This outfit really does work for running errands around town or for a casual evening event. I decided to accent the cardigan and jeans with a brown and gold buckle belt and a gold necklace from Baublebar.
I cannot say enough good things about my new favorite heels from Everlane. They call this the Day Heel and I can totally understand why! These shoes are so comfortable! They add just enough height for a petite women like myself. At the same time they are comfortable enough to wear all day long. These heels are well-priced under $150 and they come in multiple colors. I love these heels so much that I bought them in two colors (see them here as wel).
I thought to myself today that the last day of January is finally here. After that February is a short month. And then March of course bring spring! And I’m excited to be able to update my spring wardrobe with favorites from Talbots new arrivals!

I adore this navy polka dot jacket for those cooler spring days. Some of my favorite tops include this striped sweater and this tipped cuffed sweater. This polka dot cardigan and coordinating shell worn with white jeans or pants would look so fresh and colorful for spring! I just love the idea of wearing this striped peplum top with navy pants and heels for work. For basic casual pieces, this striped appliqued tee and this pencil stripe pullover are both great.
