Pretty Little Thing Sandy Black Gingham Bardot Dress

Today’s post is a bit of a bigger one, as I am showing you three different stylish gingham looks. Gingham is such a classic pattern (though my kids argue with me that it is the same thing as plaid). Gingham has been everywhere this summer, which I do not mind at all! I’ve been wanting to do this post all summer, and finally had the chance to do it now.

With this first look I am wearing the Pretty Little Thing Sandy Black Gingham Bardot dress. I originally purchased this at ASOS earlier this summer, and it has been sitting in my closet for the last three months. Fortunately the exact dress is still available at prettylittlething.com.  Wearing this dress just makes me happy! I am wearing an XS and this dress fits perfectly on my petite frame. The dress is a cotton-polyester blend and the fabric feels thick and sturdy. I love the pretty ruffle detail and the bow detail around the waist. At under $44 this dress is a great find (and as of yesterday was also 50% off).

The dress is so cute in itself, but accessories really add to the look. My Ann Taylor Leda block heels complement the dress well. And my Cult Gai bag and straw boater hat really tie the outfit together. I got so many complements when I wore this dress!

Ann Taylor Gingham City Shorts

In this second gingham outfit, I am wearing my favorite gingham shorts of the season, the Ann Taylor Gingham City Shorts. I love the large gingham pattern and the faded teal color of these shorts. They are made of cotton with a slight amount of spandex to make them stretchy. I am wearing a 2 regular (I opted for the regular as I didn’t want my shorts to be too short). These shorts are so distinctive! Better yet they are currently under $25 (with the 40% off on all sale items going on at Ann Taylor right now. My top is also from Ann Taylor. It is currently sold out, but this top is very similar. The look is simple, but fun and sophisticated. Perfect for a warm summer day!

Gingham Off The Shoulder Top

My third and final gingham look is a simple ruffled gingham top and white distressed denim jeans. This off the shoulder gingham top came from Ann Taylor as well. It is currently sold out, but this one from Bloomingdales is very similar, and honestly I like the bell sleeve design even better! This is the perfect comfortable outfit for a weekend with the kids, running errands. I like this look for it’s timelessness, as this is the kind of outfit that can be worn for years and not go out of style.
